The Bells of Glocken is the delightful tale of a tiny kingdom whose ruler bestows to his people the great gift of four tower bells, one each for hope, peace, love and joy. After the good king's death, the bells fall silent, and the people become frightened and angry. Dark years pass, and the people long for a new king who will bring them salvation. Flexible and easy to teach, The Bells of Glocken is approximately 20 minutes long and is an inspired choice for children's choirs, Christian schools or Sunday schools-also great as a multi-generation program for the entire congregation! With very simple narration and dialogue, it features speaking and non-speaking roles for 7-10 people, though directors are encouraged to add dialog and characters as necessary.
